Hasbro's Avengers: Doomsday Toy Line Leaks Reveal First Looks at Doctor Doom, Thor, and More
by Mike Stencel
The first wave of merchandise tied to Marvel Studios' highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday has begun to surface online, giving fans their first official glimpse at several key characters from the upcoming blockbuster.

Recently leaked images showcase Hasbro's new Avengers: Doomsday Actionverse 4-inch action figure line, offering some intriguing clues about the film's roster and character designs.
Unsurprisingly, Victor Von Doom appears front and center throughout the toy line, which marks the first official visual representation of Doctor Doom. The ruler of Latveria is featured prominently in both the 4-inch Actionverse assortment and a larger 12-inch Titan Hero figure. The Actionverse version depicts Doom wielding dramatic red energy blasts, hinting at the character's immense power in the film. While toy accessories don't always reflect on-screen abilities, the figure certainly emphasizes Doom's role as the centerpiece villain of Marvel's next cinematic event.

The line also confirms the return of Thor. While details remain scarce, the Actionverse figure features an unusual effect piece that appears to create a helmet made from yellow lightning energy. As with many children's toy lines, collectors should avoid reading too deeply into every accessory. Still, Thor's inclusion confirms that the God of Thunder will play a significant role in the upcoming crossover.

Perhaps the most interesting revelations come from the packaging itself. The card-back artwork for the 4-inch Actionverse line teases additional waves of figures including The Thing, Human Torch, Thor and Beast, who has generated particular excitement among Marvel fans thanks to a noticeable classic X-Men logo displayed on his belt, which indicates how Marvel Studios possibly plans to integrate the X-Men into the MCU moving forward.

Joining Doom in the 12-inch Titan Hero line is Sam Wilson's Captain America. The figure appears to be based heavily on the costume seen in Captain America: Brave New World, however, the suit features a slightly darker blue color scheme than the one used in the recent film that appears to resemble Steve Rogers' classic Captain America uniform.

The heavy emphasis on Doctor Doom, the inclusion of Fantastic Four members, and the appearance of Beast all point toward an inevitable massive crossover event that could ultimately unite the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men on the big screen. As additional Avengers: Doomsday merchandise inevitably begins to emerge, one thing is already clear: Doctor Doom has arrived, and Marvel wants everyone to know it.
